I love the cloud in the lens shot. It's beautiful. And it makes such a statement. We usually see things through the lens, not in it. Lovely.
[this is good]
More lovely landscapes! I especially love one of the reeds. Stay cool and please give Mr. Bones an extra snuggle from me.
That Mr. Bones, he is one stubborn ol' feline mule! It's supposed to stay warm through the weekend, at least through the fireworks shows. Quite a lot going on this weekend. Did you hear that for the first time ever, they'll be taking donations at the Ruston Way Freedom Fair/fireworks? And Seattle has eliminated all but one of its shows? Your hubby is so incredibly fortunate to be employed, Ms. LOIL! Be safe!
I always feel uplifted after reading your blog - thank you
Yay Mr. Bones! *pet pet*
That illustration is soooo cute. It will go perfectly in your home. I'm loving this 3 day weekend thing. Every Friday should feel like Saturday :D
Have a happy 4th!
Those first two shots are just breathtaking. I also love the dragon fly and the way it blends into its background - a lot of texture there. Lucky you that your sunburn decided to turn into a tan. Mine always just peel leaving me as white as I was before - just more freckles.
My friend was sitting on his bumper changing the lens on his camera when I saw it. I told him to hold still and snapped a couple quick shots. ;-) Thanks!
Thanks Homebody, will do!
What? They took donations for the show? we just stayed home and watched the neighbors light them off. Mr. Bones is one tough kitty. He amazes me so very much.
Thanks So Much! It really illustrates Mr. L and my history. ;-)
Haha! Yup I have a few freckles too, ha! My legs are still SO pale though. Ha!
They requested donations for the event (whether you were there only for the fireworks or the entire day). The continuation of the fair was at risk and evidently more people want to assure its survival than not because according to reports from the field, most were happy to donate toward that end.
